For many years, KVCTU has supported the Adopt-a-Highway Program by cleaning up the roadsides along M-89 as it passes over Augusta Creek. This year’s event is scheduled for October 1st, beginning at 8:00 AM. We meet at the intersection of M-89 and 42nd Street – Kalamazoo County. Park along 42nd Street on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Bob Vaccaro, who leads this event, will bring gloves, safety vests, trash bags, and, most importantly, coffee and donuts. This is not strenuous work, but you will be walking in some tall grass and some mowed grass. If you have a stick with a nail in the end or an “extended fingers” device, please bring it. After a couple hours work, making the Augusta Creek area clean and beautiful and chatting with fellow Chapter members, your work will be done.
Bring a rod and enjoy the beauty of Augusta Creek in the Autumn.
Please give Bob a call, 269-271-2220, if you plan to participate in this KVCTU event, so that he has enough coffee and donuts.
