Our January Vintage Gear meeting features Terry McBurney of Woods & Water News, and Mike Simcik, an expert on bamboo and early wood rods.
Terry writes about, appraises, and collects lures, reels and rods, especially vintage Michigan-made tackle. He’ll answer your questions and give you an idea of what your treasures are worth, so start cleaning out the garage, basement, man cave, and tackle boxes. Bring along your bamboo and older wooden rods, and Mike will give them the expert eye of a historian and restoration artist. Even if you don’t have any gear to bring, Terry and Mike will have some fascinating stories and histories to share, so you won’t want to miss it.
We will be meeting at the Fountains.
The meeting is open to the general public, and there is no cost if you do not have the meal. All of our meetings and events are smoke free.
Wet Lines cocktail hour and the fly exchange begins at 6:00 pm and the dinner begins at 7:00 pm. The program begins at 7:45.
This will be a fun evening. Bring your gear—and a friend!
